Farmer’s corpse opposes transfer of 124 acres of land from Kovur Sugar Factory to APIIC

As Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently instructed the SPSR Nellore Regional Government to transfer 124 acres of land from the Kovur partner sugar factory to Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to establish a new industry, a member of the Sugarcane Farmers Association (SFA) to deflect the government’s government plan against the private industry.

The factory has made a significant contribution to the economic growth of 15 Mandanian farmers under the leadership of the rural constituencies of Kovur, Kavali and Nellore. The factory has been closed in the past 13 years due to a severe financial crisis. Since its closure, SFA Nellore regional leaders have been demanding the reopening of factories.

“Over the past two decades, leaders of the ruler and opposition parties have promised during each election that they will reopen their factories if they come to power. After the election, they try to sell 124 acres of factory land at a cheaper price, which is very valuable. We have stopped these efforts by court orders.”

YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to reopen during the 2019 elections, but he did not implement it after he came to power. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu also promised that factories could also be reopened in the 2024 elections. However, he declared that the factory would be unavailable because it was not implemented in the case of Apiic, he could implement it, he could implement it, he could implement it.

“A few acres of land have been vacant in the area. If the factory land will also be attributed to APIIC, it will benefit private players rather than local farmers. The government is willing to serve poor poor by providing wealthy investors at a low price, but is not ready to serve poor farmers, but they are not ready to help poor farmers.”

In addition to workers, nearly 10,000 people rely on the factory, either directly or indirectly. About 3,600 sugarcane farmers in the area have moved to growing rice. They have been waiting for the factory revival for the past 13 years. The factory is in a strategic position, and all necessary resources are in all necessary resources.

SFA leaders have asked all shareholders, farmers and others who wish to rebuild to attend the meeting and will meet on April 24 at the Sugar Factory venue to discuss an action plan. Ravindran, Secretary General of the All India Sugar Cane Farmers Association, Suryanarayana, Secretary of the AP Sugar Cane Farmers Association and regional leaders will also attend the meeting.
