Four children were killed in West Singhbhum area of Jharkhand after being trapped in a hay fire near their home.
Police said four children were burned to death in a fire that broke out in a fire near their house in Jharkhand, Jharkhand, on Monday. They said the incident occurred in the village of Gitilipi in the Chaibasa Jagannathpur police station area around 11 a.m.
Police Ashutosh Shekhar Police Department told PTI that the children were playing in haystacks when the fire broke out. “A team has been sent to the scene for a detailed investigation,” he said. The deceased were identified as Prince Chatar (5), Sahir Sindhu (5), Bhumika Sundi (5) and Rohit Sundi (2).
Birang Gagrai of the locals said: “When I came to a well near the scene to get water, I saw the children and yelled. The villagers immediately took them out, but by then they were dead.”
