‘Great Leader’: US Vice President Vance praised PM Modi during India’s visit | Indian News

U.S. Vice President JD Vance said on Monday that meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a “honor” and called the prime minister “a great leader” on the first day of India’s visit.

Vance also thanked the host of his family at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi and said Prime Minister Modi was “very friendly to my family”.

The U.S. Vice President responded to Prime Minister Modi’s post on X, “It’s an honor to meet Prime Minister Modi tonight. He is a great leader and he is very kind to my family.”

Vance further expressed his willingness to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

“I look forward to working under President Trump to strengthen our friendship and cooperation with the Indian people!” Vance said.

After meeting with Vance, PM Modi said that both countries are committed to mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors.

“It is delighted to welcome U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his family to New Delhi. We reviewed the fast-paced progress since I visited the United States and met with President Trump. We are committed to mutually beneficial cooperation, including in trade, technology, defense, energy, energy and communication between people,” PM Modi wrote on X. ”

He also stressed that the India-US comprehensive global strategic partnership will be the “definition” partnership between India and the world in the 21st century.

The U.S. Vice President, who started his official four-day visit to India on Monday, arrived in Jaipur with his family for a second round. Vance will visit Agra on April 23. The visit will leave India at 6:40 am on April 24.

The visit follows President Trump’s close contact with Prime Minister Modi’s active and successful meeting in Washington earlier this year.
