Anakapalle: Five workers died and seven more workers suffered serious injuries in the fireworks manufacturing department in Kailasapatnam in Kotavuratla Mandal, Anakapalle area on Sunday.
The injured person was transferred to a nearby hospital and is undergoing treatment.
People living in the surrounding areas were swallowed up by the smoke and flames of the place.
According to sources, several more are trapped in thick and high flames.
Firefighters have arrived at the place and are working to put out the flames.
Police also arrived at the place and are investigating the cause behind the accident.
The victim was identified as Samarkot.
