HC Castigate Govt. Rani Channamma University “playing with the teacher’s life”

The Karnataka High Court observed that the state government “wanted to live with a teacher” for 34 years while condemning the government and Rani Channamma University in Bellagarve because he evaded all terminal benefits of retired professors and even paid only the pension after his retirement 10 years after his retirement.

“This is why the petitioner has not received the full amount of pension, leave and tip despite working for 34 years. The state wants to play with the petitioner’s life. He is 70, retired 10 years ago and has been fighting to grant his terminal benefits,” the court pointed out.

All pulled up

Justice Naga Prasana directed the retired professor to knock on the door multiple times, forcing the retired professor to knock on the door multiple times, while the government and university justices paid all terminal benefits to petitioner Ma Dhavaleshwar, Sangolli Rayanna first-year retired principal Ma Dhavaleshwar, and within four weeks, the retired principal of the Bergavies, Ma Dhavaleshwar, and within four weeks, the Nagala judicial officer retired.

The court noted that even though he retired in 2015, he filed a petition in 2020 as a retirement benefit, and even if he retired in 2015, the court has directed the government to pay all terminal benefits. He made contempt for the court petition due to the court’s 2020 order not respected, which paid him a partial payment of about Rs 1.5 lakh. He filed this petition in 2022 as it has not yet been paid about Rs 3 million.

Who pays?

The only reason for not paying the pension is the question between the government and the university about who must pay the pension because in the three years before retirement he had to pay the pension, which was absorbed as a constituent college of the university.

The court said that if the government and university retirement date, the government and university students would have to pay him 9% interest if they fail to pay 6% interest within four weeks. The court said he was also entitled to a payment of Rs 1,000 a day per day.
