Heavy rain forecast cap, rayalaseema

Visakhapatnam: IMD Andhra Pradesh predicts heavy rain in coastal AP and Rayalaseema areas until May 20.
Gusts of winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 kmph may also be in the same area.
Private weather website Skymet said the Southern Peninsula is currently under the influence of a cyclone cycle – one hovering in the north of Karnataka (North Coastal Tamil Nadu).
Another high-altitude cyclone on the coastal AP is now located in the Gulf of Western Bangladesh, adjacent to the northern coastal area, 1.5 km above the average sea level.
“Under the influence of these systems, Telangana and the North Coast Andhra Pradesh are preparing for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next few days,” Skymet’s report said.
“The conditions favor the further development of the southwestern monsoon in the Southern Arabian Sea, Maldives and more areas of the Comorin region; the South Bay of Bengal, the remainder of the Andaman Islands and the Andaman Sea, and certain areas of the Gulf of Bengal for the next day or two.”
“In the past 24 hours, Guntur has achieved the highest rainfall of 10.03 cm, Bapatla 9.5 cm, Amalapuram 8.8 cm and Gudivada 8.2 cm.
Rainfall lowers the state’s temperature. In some places, it drops by 04 degrees. On Friday, the state fell below 40 degrees and could continue until May 20. ”
