Meanwhile, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) issued a consultation following the crash, pointing out that emergency vehicles and traffic delays in the area will increase. “Urgent vehicle and traffic delays in the surrounding area are expected due to a helicopter crash on the Hudson River near the West Side Expressway and Spring Street,” the New York Police Department said.
