In the middle of the IPL, BCCI hit a heavy fine on MI Skipper Hardik Pandya, GT head coach Ashish Nehra…

Captain Hardik Pandya of the Mumbai Indians and head coach Ashish Nehra of Gujarat Titans were fined, and Pandya was punished for misconduct for exceeding the rate slow.

Mumbai Indians (MI) Captain Hardik Pandya was fined for maintaining a slow Super Tax Rate (IPL) clash at the Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.

The alliance's official website issued a media statement, announcing the same statement. This was his second offense in the league's code of conduct, related to super crimes, and he was fined Rs 2.4 lakh.

“Mumbai Indian Captain Hardik Pandya maintained a slow ratio in his team’s 56th match in 2025 against Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The statement added that each was individually fined INR 6 lakh or 25% of their respective match costs in matches including Impact Player and concussion alternatives.”

Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra was fined 25% of the game costs and also amassed an issue of violating the IPL code of conduct. He admitted to Level 1 offences under Article 2.20 – related to acts contrary to the spirit of the game and was subject to sanctions from the match referee.

For Level 1 Code of Conduct Violation, the decision of the match referee is final and binding.

In the competition, GT won the competition and chose the bowl. The 71-shot stance between Will Jacks (53 out of 35 balls, 5 out of 35) and Suryakumar Yadav (35 out of 24 balls, 24 out of 5 quarters) is the highlight as the goal often drops, limiting the MI to 155/8 out of 20 points.

Sai Kishore (2/34) was the GT bowler, while Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Arshad Khan, Rashid Khan and Gerald Coetzee each took a wicket.

This run was a roller coaster ride for both teams. GT did lose Sai Sudharsan very early, but marked their comeback in the match with Captain Shubman Gill (43 out of 46, 3 quarters and 6 out of 27).

On the 14th GT 107/2, the GT advanced and rained according to the DLS method. After the break, Jasprit Bumrah (2/19) and Trent Boult (2/22) brought the MI back to the match, and at the start of another rainy day, the GT poured 132/6 in 18 matches. This time, GT fell behind.

When the game finally resumed, the revised target was 147 times and the remaining target was another one. Rahul Tewatia (11*) and Gerald Coetzee (12) completed the GT job single-handedly, winning three wickets in the last ball thriller.

GT ranked the highest with 8 wins, three losses and 16 points, while MI ranked fourth with 7 wins and 5 losses, giving them 14 points. Their six-game winning streak was finally broken.
