Iran denies report of US air strikes in Yemen | World News

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, no Iranian personnel were killed in the recent U.S. air strikes, and the Iranian Tasnim News Agency has close ties with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The statement was made against Yemeni Information Minister Moammar al-Alyani, who posted on the social media platform X on Friday, died in a U.S. strike on Tuesday, with 70 members of Houthi Group (including senior field commander and Iranian experts at the IRGC) killed in a U.S. strike.

The attack was reportedly targeted a gathering of Houthi in Al-Fazah, a coastal area of the Red Sea port of Hodeidah.

Tasnim dismissed the report, saying: “The report on the harma difficulty of Yemen’s Iranian army is incorrect. Follow-up actions by Tasnim reporters show that this statement is wrong and no Iranians have been harassed in Yemen.”

Tasnim added that the “false” news appears to be consistent with an anti-Iran psychological warfare designed to exacerbate tensions in the West Asia region. It reiterated previous statements by Iranian officials, asserting that Houthi forces are fighting independently against the United States and Israel.

At least four people were killed and four others were injured earlier Saturday when U.S. troops crashed into a solar store and a house in the northern Yemeni city of Saada, medical staff reported.

The medical staff described the casualties as preliminary, adding that the civil defense team is working to put out the fire and look for victims at the target locations in Xisada City, West Sada City.

Earlier, the Houthi group denied that the U.S. claimed that the U.S. air strikes were targeted at a meeting of military leaders in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah.
