JD Vance India visit: US Vice Presidents covering Delhi, Jaipur and Agra during official visit

US Vice Chairman JD Vance will make an official visit to India from April 21 to 24 and will arrive in New Delhi on Monday (April 21, 2025).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will be received at Param Air Force Station at 10.00 am. The formal meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled for 6.30 pm, at 7 o’clock that day in Lok Kalyan Marg.

On Tuesday, April 22, Mr. Vance will travel to Jaipur, while on Wednesday, April 23, Mr. Vance will visit Agra. To end his visit, Vice President Vance will leave India at 6.40 am on Thursday, April 24.

Randhir Jaiswal, official foreign ministry spokesman, said on Mr Vance’s upcoming visit that India has established a comprehensive strategic global partnership with the United States and that when such a high-level visit occurs, all important issues were discussed.

“This is an official visit. He will meet with the Prime Minister. In the United States of America, we will have a comprehensive strategic global partnership. So when you establish a partnership with any country, you will obviously discuss all the relevant issues.”

Mr Jaiswal added that India is very sure the visit will further promote India-US bilateral relations.

“Vice President JD Vance and the second family will travel to Italy and India from April 18 to April 24. The vice president will discuss common economic and geopolitical priorities with leaders of each country,” the vice president said in a press release last week.

“In India, the Vice President will visit New Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. The Vice President will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Vice President and the Second Family will also participate in the engagement at the cultural site.”
