Karnataka sets up hotlines for tourists trapped in Kashmir after terrorist attacks

Security forces guarded the streets during strike calls from Pahalgam during a terrorist attack, with 26 tourists killed and many other tourists injured, and injured in Srinagar on April 23, 2025 in Srinagar.
The deadly terrorist attacks were carried out in the Pahargham area of Jamu and Kashmir, in which two tourists from Karnataka were killed, and the state government has established a dedicated hotline service hotline to assist stranded tourists and their families.
The deceased have been identified as Shivamogga, Mathikere, Bangalore, and Manjunath Rao, Bharat Bhushan. According to a government statement, Mr. Bushan’s body will depart from Kashmir at 3 pm on April 23, while Rao’s body will leave by 6 pm

On the evening of April 22, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah convened an emergency meeting to assess the situation. A team led by Labor Minister Santosh Lad has been sent to Srinagar to coordinate relief efforts and provide support to victims’ families.
Minister Santosh Lad confirmed that the body of the deceased had been taken to Srinagar. He visited the Muskaan Hotel, where many tourists from Karnataka stayed, assured them and met their needs.
