The Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) has identified nearly 275 unauthorized layouts within its jurisdiction and will take action against it. Officials say these unapproved layouts have emerged in the past few years, most of which are in the YSRC regime.

Authorities are also taking action against the invasion of the planned building of the hotel approved by the famous pilgrim Mantrarayan town.

Talk to it Hindus, Kuda Chairman Somishtty Venkateswarlu said he had visited several villages in person and found that most of the layout was not approved by the authorities. “We have since done extensive publicity in the villages to not buy plots in unapproved layouts and avoid investing in them,” he said.

Mr Venkateswarlu said those who purchase plots in unapproved layouts will end up in various complications, including the inability to make a loan on the home.

The notice from Kuda officials was that the layout promoters claimed they were building houses on less land and obtained water and electricity connections, thus obtaining permission from local Panchayats. Secretary Panchayat can only allow less than seven cents of land.

In this way, Kuda also plans to hold workshops with all Panchayat secretary and educate them on insisting on the layout that sponsors have approved Kuda.

Kuda has now delivered notifications on the sponsor to formalize the layout. He said Kuda lost nearly Rs 30 crore in revenue with the unauthorized layout.

Meanwhile, Kuda found that several people violated the Mantralayam approved plan and were used for commercial purposes. “A floor +2 building is allowed, but some hoteliers have built more floors. Some people didn’t even allow it, and we have already served notices on it. If they are not formalized, we will demolish unauthorized buildings,” said Mr Venkateswarlu.
