LSG’s Mitchell Marsh cleared on IPL 2025

The Swamp was excluded from the 2025 Championship trophy due to injury from the lower defender. However, he has been cleared to be subject to certain restrictions in IPL 2025.
Australian all-around Mitchell Marsh has been licensed for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, but he can only hit the ball. At 33, some questioned his availability for his new team, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). However, after verification with the defender expert, he was cleaned out to play.
Marsh missed Australia’s championship trophy sports due to illness at the lower defender, which raised his questions about the chances of the IPL 2025 season. Thankfully, after rehabilitation and comprehensive medical examinations, he has been cleared to join, despite some restrictions. The defender experts he has met since February 2025 told him not to play bowls and avoid putting too much pressure in the wild.
As a result, Marsh will take on a professional role in the influence of LSG, which already has a strong batting lineup that includes Captain Rishabh Pant, David Miller and Nicholas Pooran. Even if he can’t bowl, Marsh’s experience and adaptability in the middle stages are a real asset to the team.
Marsh’s absence in the championship trophy was a major setback for Australia, as he has been a key member of their white ball in recent years. However, in recent games, his effectiveness is inconsistent with the problems with bats and balls. He was even left out of Australia’s test roster when Beau Webster took his place.
After the Test series, Marsh competed in just one big BBL match on January 7, opting to skip the last three games of the season and focus on the mental and physical recovery ahead of the championship trophy. Unfortunately, his back problems lingered, which eventually led to him withdrawing from the game.
Now that he has been eliminated in IPL 2025, Marsh will have a significant impact on the Bats and support LSG in search of their first IPL title. Although he can’t bowl, his role in the middle order remains crucial to LSG’s success.
