Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan stressed the importance of adaptability in contemporary warfare, noting that survival in today’s battlefields is not determined by the winners, but by those who can change and seize new opportunities. He made these remarks while speaking at the candidate for the Advanced Defense Management Course (HDMC-20) at the College of Defense Management (CDM) in Secunderabad.
General Qiao Han delivered a speech on “National Security Building and Change Management” during Defense Reform this year, emphasizing the need for resilience and vision in the process of rapidly developing global power dynamics, non-traditional security threats and technological advancements. He particularly highlights the impact of artificial intelligence and other disruptive technologies in shaping modern security challenges.
The CD provides insights on the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) and its ongoing transformative plans to promote joint, integration and synergy within the armed forces. He elaborated on the roadmap on a change year, marked by the vision of the armed forces in 2047, the development of common doctrines, and the formulation of defense and military policies.
