Filmmaker duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have confirmed that Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane will no longer be part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2. The decision follows recent tensions between India and Pakistan.

The directors expressed disappointment in the statement at the silence of some Pakistani actors who worked in India but have not yet opposed the recent terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, which they said was supported by Pakistan. They added that some of the actors even made inappropriate comments about India’s actions.

They said: “Any form of terrorism, against any country, state or people, must be explicitly condemned. In this case, it is even more frustrating that silence, or worse, statements by certain actors working in India, working in India, have received tremendous love, respect, respect and opportunity, but failed to condemn India’s terrorist measures, which is our condemnation of India’s terrorist actions. This is our criticism of India’s terrorist measures and fully support its decision.

Earlier, actor Harshvardhan also kept his distance from the project. He said he would not return to the sequel if the original cast remained the same. On Saturday’s Instagram story, he said: “While I’m grateful for the experience, after reading a direct comment about my country, I decided to respect the refusal to be part of “Sanam Teri Kasam” Part 2, if there is any possibility of a previous actor.”

His position appears to be aimed at Mawra Hocane. Many of her fans also began to comment on the actor’s social media after tensions between the two countries increased.
