The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) condemns Pakistan’s ceasefire violations. Foreign Minister Vikram Misri said at a press conference in the national capital: “A understanding was reached between India and the DGMO of Pakistan tonight to stop the ongoing military operations in the past few days. Pakistan has violated this understanding in the past few hours.”

He added that the invasion was “extremely condemned” and that “the Indian army is retaliating and dealing with such invasions on the border. This invasion is very condemned and Pakistan is responsible for it. We believe that Pakistan should understand the situation correctly and take appropriate action immediately to prevent such invasion.”

The Foreign Minister further pointed out that the Indian armed forces have been instructed to strongly deal with any situations of repeated violations along with the India-Pak border.

“The armed forces maintained a strong vigil on the situation and were instructed to strongly deal with any repetitive violations of the border along the international border and the scope of control,” he said.

Hours after India and Pakistan reached a ceasefire agreement, the latter tried to direct a variety of drone attacks in the Jamu and Kashmir regions, including Capital Srinagar. Jamu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah got on the ‘X’ and slammed Pak, saying: “This is not a ceasefire. The air defense forces in the middle of Srinagar have just opened,” CM Abdullah wrote on the ‘X’.

Earlier today, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. US President Donald Trump socializes the truth, “After a long speech night mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries on their use of common sense and great wisdom. Thank you for your attention to this issue!”

In addition, Eam S Jaishankar welcomed the decision while stressing that India will continue to oppose terrorism.

“India and Pakistan have developed an understanding of shutdowns and military operations today. India has maintained a firm and uncompromising position in all forms and manifestations. It will continue to do so.”

The ceasefire deal comes after Pakistan conducted several attempted drone/missile strikes in Indian border countries following the launch of “Operation Sindoor” in the April 22 terrorist attack on Pahalgam.
