Bollywood Celebrities Pay Tribute to Manoj Kumar

Senior Hindi film actor Manoj Kumar died at the age of 87 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He died Friday at 3:30 a.m. due to complications caused by heart disease and cirrhosis.

He is known as Bharat Kumar for performing and producing patriotic films, and he is also a well-known director and winner of the National Film Awards. Cremation will take place on Saturday (April 5).

He also won the Padma Shri and the 2015 Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, the highest award in Indian films. His 1967 director Upkar won a national award.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the death of the veteran, “It was very saddened by the death of legendary actor and filmmaker Shri Manoj Kumar ji. He is an idol of Indian cinemas and is remembered for his patriotic passion. In the grief of this hour.”

Several political leaders and Bollywood celebrities have pleaded with the actor’s death on social media.
