No representation in Lok Sabha, BRS opposes the WAQF bill in current form

Hyderabad: BRS said on Wednesday that it will oppose the WAQF (Amendment) bill in the current parliamentary form.

BRS work chairman KT Rama Rao said his party will make arguments on the floor of the house when he was in Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

The opposition party has no representation in Lok Sabha. Rama Rao told PTI: “Tomorrow will be Rajya Sabha. We have no members in Lok Sabha. We have decided to oppose the bill in the current form. We want to hear the argument because there are four or five parts of the bill that we have objections.”

The BRS has four members in the House of Lords. Lok Sabha will be discussed and passed on Wednesday by the controversial WAQF (Amendment) bill. The bill is expected to be moved in Rajya Sabha tomorrow.
