Andhra Govt Inks Rs 10,000 CR deal to build AI-driven Transmedia City Creatorland'

Amalawati, May 3: The Andhra Pradesh government signed an agreement at the ongoing Inspur summit in Mumbai to establish a transmedia entertainment city in the state. The project will include theme parks, game zones and global film co-production zones, aiming to drive job creation, skills development, tourism and digital innovation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held the World Vision and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai from May 1 to 4.
The state has signed a cross-media entertainment city agreement with Creativeland Asia, called Creatsorland.
“Working with Creativeland Asia marks an exciting milestone for our country for opening up film and entertainment tourism. This Memorandum of Understanding (Agreement) is more than an infrastructure project, it is a commitment to creating an enlightening ecosystem for talent, innovation and tourism,” said Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh’s Tourism Minister K Durgesh, issued in a press release.
Creatorland is expected to attract up to Rs 1,000 crore in investment over the next six years.
The funds will target the creation of a virtual studio complex powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and other futuristic technologies.
The entertainment hub is also expected to bring skills and employment opportunities to young people from Andhra Pradesh and other regions across the country, across creative and technical fields and other initiatives.
