Hyderabad: Nizamabad police continued to crack down on those who organized online cricket betting on Friday, arresting seven people, including real estate agents and financiers, for similar crimes.

Nizamabad Police Chief Pa Sai Chaitanya introduced the people arrested by the defendants saying that two illegal gambling groups in the area were demolished. Anyone who promotes betting apps or who indulges in betting that has a financial impact on the family will not be spared.

In the first case, the police caught all residents of four Shaik Mujeeb Ahmed (30), Shaik Nadeem (34), Shaik Junaid (26) and Shaik Rehan (23), Nizamabad. Four more – Shakeel, Shaik Najeeb and Ramesh, all residents of Nizamabad and Sachin of Nanded in Maharashtra are absconding.

Chaitanya explained that the arrested were operating the betting racket in an organized manner. Password and user ID will be provided to those interested in betting and with the help of the agent, depositing the amount into the betting organizer’s account. Agents will receive a 7% commission. Shakeel and Sachin played a crucial role in crime.

The racket was destroyed after tips related to the bets of the town’s Bharathi Rani colony. Five cell phones, two cell phones mailed by the bank, and a credit and debit card were retrieved from the defendant.

In the second case, police arrested G Gautam (38), a financier D Sunil (50), a real estate businessman and J Ranjith (37), a hotel businessman. The three are residents of Nizamabad. Five more people – Nizamabad, Vipul Singh of Haryana, Bantu Palasa, Bablu Thakur and Vinay Thakur, everyone in Maharashtra is the whole.

Chaitanya said Vipul, Bantu, Bablu and Vinay operate rackets with the help of Srikanth, Gautam, Sunil and Ranjith. Sunil found out that by collateralizing motorcycles, he offered loans to people and obtained loans with high interest. He is pushing them to use the app to indulge in cricket.

Police seized 34 bicycles, 3 cell phones and Rs 6,000 in cash from the arrested person.
