Ongoing search operations after the Pahalgam terrorist attack

Pahalgam: After terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing and wounding many, security forces launched a search on Wednesday to track down the responsible terrorists.

Security has been strengthened since the attack, and the visuals of the area show the streets that are usually deserted in bustling tourist areas. After the attack, many organizations also called on the Investigation Office.

Due to the tension in the area, some tourists have also decided to shorten their trips.

One of the tourists, Sameer Bhardwaj from Delhi, plans to visit the Pahalgam place, but he said he will now return to the national capital.
The visitor told ANI: “We have been in Kashmir for the last three days. We have plans for Pahalgam, but because the situation here is not good, we are going to Delhi… What happened here is very wrong. This is the first time Pahalgam has happened.”

National Conference head Shekh Bashir Ahmad also called it a conspiracy to destroy the economy of Jamu and Kashmir. He said the terrorist attack aims to stop the movement of tourists in the region as union territory relies on the tourism season.

“This is a conspiracy against Jamu and Kashmir, delaying the economy of the region. There is no religious belief in such people, which says to kill people… People have gone there for vacation, but innocent people are attacked. The people of Jamu and Kashmir (JK) should understand this conspiracy. Shekh Bashir Ahmad, senior director of the National Conference, told ANI.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held briefings with Dr. EAM S. Jaishankar, NSA AJIT DOVAL, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri and other officials and immediately met with other officials after landing in Delhi from Saudi Arabia.

The attack targeted tourists from the Pahalgam area of the Anatnag area and took place earlier on Tuesday.

At the same time, after the attack, security forces and police immediately arrived at the scene. Ambulances were also taken to the site.
