PM Modi arrives at Amaravati on May 2

Vijayawada: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Amaravati on May 2 to restart Amaravati capital work.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced this after completing the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. He stressed the need for close coordination among the leaders of the three political parties in the reconstruction work.
Sources said the PMO contacted the CMO on Tuesday to inform Modi of the timeline. Naidu quickly asked the minister and officials to make careful arrangements. The Prime Minister’s meeting venue will be behind the Amalawati Secretariat.
The meeting is making special buses, parking facilities and safety arrangements for the meeting, with approximately one hundred thousand people going to attend.
Sources said the Prime Minister will launch development works worth about Rs 10,000 from Amaravati and statewide stages.
Naidu told his ministers that the focus will be on development projects, especially the establishment of the permanent secretariat, state parliament, high court and roads over the next three years.
He asked the minister to speed up the resolution of income-related issues and investigate complaints of police intervention in such issues. The implementation of the Surya Ghar plan should be accelerated.
Despite his repeated reminders from ministers, CM expressed frustration at the lack of progress in some areas. He said they have not effectively responded to the false narrative of the YSR Congress about the death of Tirurupati’s cattle.
“When we implement unique welfare programs, ministers failed to convey their message to the public. Given the cooperation at the region level, let us work in a unified way to ensure that development and welfare programs are all reaching people,” he said.
Naidu believes that despite repeated mockery, the ministers’ performances have not changed significantly. He said the mistakes made by individual secretary and OSD (specially responsible officials) had adverse effects on the government and stressed that these issues must be addressed quickly.
