Police suspect Maoists planting revenge in Mulugu

Hyderabad: The day after three Greyhound Commando were killed in the explosion, trying to degrade an IED planted by the banned CPI (Maoist) in the Murug area, police reviewed the security situation on Friday, which led to a new leader.
A few days ago, Maoists issued a letter warning Adivasis not to enter certain small villages in Mulugu, as these areas were in trouble with the IED. Based on this opinion, regional police and greyhounds launched a combing operation, causing one of the IEDs to explode.
In addition to the deaths of three commandos, assistant deputy inspector Ranadheer from Greyhounds was injured during an IED explosion in the Nugel Forest area near Pedagta on Thursday. He is currently undergoing treatment.
As they suspect more HIEDs have been planted in the area, Mulugu police directed their personnel to take enhanced security measures during the grooming operation, which will soon recover. The bomb disposal team will also be deployed to identify and disband the IED.
During the review, senior police officials discussed the possibility of retaliatory attacks by Maoists on Karigueta, and central forces reportedly killed several Maoists. They suspect that the Maoists who escaped from Karigueta may have been ambushed and approached the troops.
Officials believe police could seek help from surrendered Maoists to identify locations where prohibited groups have planted targets to police and security forces.
Police officials also verified a letter issued in the name of CPI (Maoist) leader Jagan, announcing a six-month ceasefire.
Senior officials are expected to submit a comprehensive report on IED ambush, details of potential clients obtained, and the proposed future action plan.
