Possible heavy rain in the north next week

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) will take heavy rains in northern Kerala starting next week on Friday.
IMD issued an orange alert on Monday for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod areas. It also issued an orange alert for the Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod areas on Tuesday.
It also released yellow alerts for Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on May 18.
In addition, IMD predicted thunderstorms and strong winds at isolated locations in Kerala from Friday to Tuesday at 30 to 40 kmph.
The orange alarm means very heavy rain 11 cm to 20 cm, and the yellow alarm means heavy rain between 6 cm and 11 cm.
