Rachakonda police tied up 12 babies who were illegally adopted

Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough in the Chaitanyapuri child trafficking case, Rachakonda police rescued 12 babies based on information from Ringleader Vandanaben Jigarbhai Pancha, who were arrested from Ahmedabad.

Police also confirmed that Van Dana played a crucial role in planning trafficking and using her network to promote illegal trade in babies. Investigators are working to identify all those involved in the trafficking group.

Vandana was arrested by Chitanyapuri and Malkajgiri SOT teams in Ahmedabad for investigations into child trafficking.

Police registered a case when they found four babies sold to a childless couple between January and February. After being arrested, the defendant was detained, where she sprinkled beans in illegal adoption. The suspect police team identified other children she sold and was rescued.

In addition, police officers who handed over the baby to the Medchal-Malkajgiri Child Welfare Commission (CWC) will be transferred to the Rangareddy CWC. With Chaitanyapuri a part of the Rangareddy limit, babies may be transferred to the Rangareddy CWC very soon.
