RGIA record highest passenger flow growth ever in fiscal 2025

Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad recorded the highest passenger and aircraft transport ever recorded in the fiscal year 2024-25, highlighting the airport’s growing position.

RGIA handled 29.16 million passengers during the fiscal year 2025, marking a 17% year-on-year increase, compared with 25.04 million passengers in fiscal year 2024. In March 2025 alone, the airport witnessed 2.6 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 17%.

This growth is driven by strong growth at home and abroad. Domestic passenger flow in March was 2.2 million, showing 17.5%, while international traffic reached 400,000, an increase of 16.1% compared to the same period last year.

The movement of the plane also rose. RGIA handled 1,99,349 aircraft transports in the fiscal year, an increase of 15% from fiscal year 2024. In March alone, 18,398 sports were recorded, up 15% year-on-year.

This makes Hyderabad the best performing airport in the GMR portfolio, including international airports in Delhi, Mopa (Goa) and Indonesia (Indonesia) and Cebu (Philippines).

Among all GMR airports, more than 10.5 million passengers were processed in March 2025, an increase of approximately 7.9%. Domestic transportation grew by 7.9%, while international traffic rose by 48% during the same period. GMR Airport exceeded 120 million passengers and 7.3 million aircraft transport (ATM) in fiscal 2025.
