RJD MLA RITLAL YADAV wants to surrender to Bihar Court in ransomware case

A senior official said Bihar police in connection with the ransomware wanted RJD MLA Ritlal Yadav, who surrendered in court on Thursday (April 17, 2025).
Speech PTI, The Patna-West principal of Patna-West Sharat RS confirmed Mr Yadav surrendered at the Danapur court in Patna, noting that other lawsuits are underway.
“In the case of ransomware, he and his colleagues were wanted,” SP said.
He said more details will be shared later.
Mr Yadav told reporters after surrendering to the Danapur court: “I am a victim of political conspiracy…my life is threatened…I may be killed. If I were alive, I would apply for bail.
Bihar police conducted a search on April 11 at several locations related to the Danapur MLA of RJD and his close associates as part of an investigation into the Patna ransom case.
Police searched 11 locations in Danapur and other parts of the state capital after registering the FIR against Yadav and five others, according to a complaint filed by a builder in Patna.
“The complainant (the builder) claimed that he had received blackmail and life-threatening calls from the defendant over the past few days. He also accused the defendant of forging certain documents related to the property.
“The complainant is building an apartment in Khagaul area of Patna. During the search, the police seized several charges of documents and materials, including Rs 1 million in cash, Rs 77 million in checks, 6 blank checks, 14 deed documents with sales and purchases, as well as 17 check books and 17 check books,” Patna police said on April 11.
All defendants were absconded during a search in Patna on April 11.
