SRH, HCA reached a consensus on the issue of free passes

New Delhi: Following the meeting here, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) have reached a consensus to maintain a category allocation of 3,900 free passes.
On Sunday, the SRH called on the BCCI and IPL Council to intervene and resolve what they call the HCA’s recurring “ransomware tactics”, which the state association refused.
If the HCA continues to “threat” the franchise, SRH further threatens to consider relocating its family game to another state, mainly on additional free tickets. SRH in turn threatened to move out of Hyderabad.
To resolve the matter, HCA Secretary R. Devraj arranged a meeting of SRH officials with Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. SRH representatives Kiran, Saravanan and Rohit Suresh were present for discussion.
“During the discussion period, SRH recommended strict compliance with the existing tripartite agreement between SRH, HCA and BCCI to ensure that 10% of the available stadium capacity of all parts are allocated accordingly.”
It said: “After in-depth discussion and further telephone review with SRH CEO Mr Shanmugam, the following resolution was agreed: The category allocation of 3,900 free passes to the HCA will remain unchanged and be consistent with established practices.”
HCA ensures SRH comprehensive cooperation with SRH in a professional way.
“HCA and SRH are committed to collaborating friendly to enhance the audience experience at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium,” a joint statement said.
