A Supreme Court judge recently issued a three-month schedule for the president to decide on a bill that the governor nodded to her.

Mr. Dakhar responded to the directive, and the judiciary could not play the role of “super parliament” and entered the field of the executive branch.

He said at the event at the University of Delhi, he said that every word the constitutional staff said was guided by the highest noble interests of the country.

“I’ve found some people recently reflected that constitutional offices can be polite, ornamental. There’s nothing like the role of everyone in this country – the role of constitutional staff or citizens at a distance,” he said.

He also said that there is no visualization in any composition of authority above Parliament. He asserted, “Parliament is supreme.”

Mr Dakhar said last Friday (18 April 2025) that he was concerned about the Supreme Court ruling on the timeline for the president to decide on the bill, which has not yet been bargained.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court made for the first time that the President should decide for her bill within three months of the date of receipt of the reference.

Mr Dankhar said in New Delhi: “The recent judgment is an instruction to the President…we have never bargained for democracy.

The vice president has been criticized for questioning the judiciary’s timeline so that the president can make a decision, saying it was “unconstitutional.”
