SCR fence tracks to fragile locations to prevent intrusion

The Southern Central Railway (SCR) plans to complete the track fence at identified vulnerable locations to minimize cattle intrusion, vehicles, to increase the speed and punctuality of the train.
SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain held a video conference with six department railway managers (Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded) on Monday (April 21) and introduced him to the progress of the work on the Nilayam Railway, which will also enhance safety.
He called on officials/mainstewards to take precautions while performing track maintenance work and loading/unloading activities, etc.
In view of the summer, Mr. Jain also strictly followed fire safety precautions, such as ensuring a sufficient number of fire-fighting equipment, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detection equipment, and ensuring proper work in train and station sites.
Regarding the working hours of crew members, the responsibility list of functional pilots, assistant locomotive pilots and guards should be prepared in such a way that they minimize their working hours and take appropriate rest at the right time. The general manager said the crew lobbying area/running room should be inspected regularly.
Later, he awarded the “Employees of the Month” to six employees (three from Vijayawada division and two from Secunderabad division), three from Secunderabad division, one from Guntur Division to show alertness and act quickly to prevent unsafe conditions.
These employees come from categories such as Station Masters, Points, Track and Field Maintenance Staff and Technicians. Mr. Jaen congratulated the winners and thanked them for their commitment to performing their duties with the greatest dedication, the press release said.
