Small clashes continue as India weighs its response to Pahalgam attacks

The ceasefire of Pakistani troops violated the Line of Control (LOC) for the third consecutive night (26 April 2025), while the Indian Navy and Air Force practiced on Sunday (27 April 2025) as Pahalgam terrorist attacks tensions.

Pakistan began to mobilize equipment near LOC on a large scale, while the Indian Navy carried out multiple anti-ship shootings to carry out a long and precise “offensive strike”.

“On April 26-27, 2025, Pakistani troops launched unprovoked small arms shootings on the control line in the areas of Tutmari Gali and Rampur departments,” an army official said on Sunday (April 27, 2025. “Own troops responded effectively and effectively in the appropriate small arms shooting.”

Although both sides have taken several measures to tit, neither side has gone from understanding to reabsorbing the ceasefire of the LOC that arrived in February 2022.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar spoke on a telephone conversation with his British counterpart David Lammy on Sunday, Mr Jaishankar said they discussed the Pahalgam terrorist attack and “emphasized the importance of zero tolerance to terrorism”.

Mr Rami also spoke with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, where the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that the British Foreign Minister stressed the need to “relegate” the situation.

India’s choice

As all indicators point to the dynamical action that India may take, despite the lack of surprise elements, there are multiple options available, just like the 2016 surgical strike and the 2019 Balakot air strike.

Although there is no large-scale mobilization of Indian troops, ongoing exercises can show strength. On Sunday (27 April 2025), the Indian Navy said its vessels had conducted “multiple anti-ship fires to re-verify and prove the preparation of the platform, system and crew for a long, precise offensive strike”. The video shows several frontline ships launching at the Brahmin supersonic cruise missile.

Just a few days ago, the Navy’s latest missile destroyer ins surat Medium-range ground-oriented air missiles (MRSAMs) were launched in the western Indian Ocean to “fly” the target.

The Brahmos missile, jointly developed by India and Russia, offers all three services. With variants that can be launched from land, sea and air, the missile can serve as a game-changer, or as a spearhead for any Indian punitive strike against terrorist infrastructure or the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir occupation or Pakistan itself. The Brahmin initially capped range was 290 kilometers, and now it can reach a range of 450 kilometers or even 600 kilometers. Its supersonic speed, coupled with other features, makes it a viable tool that can limit the upgrade cycle in India. All front-line naval ships are also equipped with Brahmin anti-fleet and land attack missiles.

By the way, indigenous aircraft carriers ins vikrantAs satellite images reveal, the deployment of the Karwar port located on the western coast. Another vector ins vikramaditya, Renovation is underway.

From an aerodynamic perspective, the Indian Air Force (IAF) now operates 36 multi-purpose aircraft jets that it does not own in 2019. The Refals are equipped with meteors beyond the visual range (BVR) missiles, with a range of more than 250 km, and a long-range air-distance globe. The package, along with other early warning platforms and other technological upgrades over the past few years, gives India a decisive advantage and provides a powerful option for policy makers.

Starting from 2021, the Air Force has also begun introducing long-range S-400 Triumf air defense systems from Russia and deployed three regiments on the northern, eastern and western borders.

Other options include the use of Army Special Forces or shells or long-range rockets, such as indigenous Pinaka and Russian Smerch Systems, if the target is within range. In addition to achieving the expected goals, one of the key determinants of choosing to narrow down the choice will be to assess Pakistan’s response and determine how far the country is willing to go if tensions spiral tensions are spiraled.

Meanwhile, the Air Force training Akraman is in numerous central departments, and defense sources say it is a regular training activity. The Air Force also issued a notice to the pilot (NOTAM) for practicing Dhruvtara from May 6 to 11.

Pakistan War Game

The Pakistan Navy has also been hosting a series of war games. The “NAV Zone” warning was issued on April 23, 2025, which was fired on the Arabian Sea from April 24 to 25, which was distributed in the vast area of its coastline and the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), and in addition, naval ships launched new warnings on April 26 and 27 in southern Karachi and Arabian Sea vessels on April 27 and 27.
