Smalltown Content Creators are now available to participate in major leagues. All they need is AI.

Smalltown Content Creators didn’t use high-end devices or studios to find that they could upgrade with their well-equipped big city competitors with just the right AI tools.

Pocket FM, Kuku FM and other similar platforms streaming users generate content beyond their role as distributors, providing creators with tools to write clearer narratives, polish audio and videos, and helping their posts look more professional to appeal to paid customers.

“We are building custom GPTs (generated pre-trained Transformers) to put current and past data together to decide which ads or stories will be better or what our consumers prefer,” said Kuku FM, spokesperson for audio entertainment platform Kuku FM. “We use AI to generate scripts, thumb stops, etc., and then GPT tells us what will work and what will be.”

The spokesperson added that Kuku FM’s AI model could also help content creators “increase five times, meaning we can test more stories, scripts, concepts or ideas.”

AI opens up opportunities for creators who may not be able to use professional tools such as recording studios, such as recording studios, said Dipankar Mukherjee, co-founder of AI-powered content studios.

Studioblo works with film producers, brands, musicians and others to create content using AI. It recently launched a music video starring actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who sang for the video, but did not have to be filmed for it, as his images were generated by AI. So far, the video has attracted more than 500,000 views on YouTube.

To be sure, several AI platforms only offer some free basic features, requiring users to pay for more advanced tools. Furthermore, while AI can help improve production quality and output, content creators still need to study storytelling and audience engagement.

How to use AI in Dhananjay Bhosale

Dhananjay Bhosale, who posted content on Instagram and YouTube about tech-related hacking, is seeing a huge change in the way it creates content, mainly because of how AI is integrated throughout the workflow.

“In my own work, we’ve started building smart, semi-automated pipelines to reduce repetitive tasks. This allows time and budget to work on more projects, which means having nearly 620,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 450,000 followers on YouTube,” Bhosale said.

“The effort used to put in full teams and days can now usually be done by a single creator using AI tools. Whether it’s writing scripts, doing voice playback, editing, and even animation and VFX (visual effects) (visual effects), AI is accelerating the entire process.”

Bhosale added that media and entertainment companies are building content workflows around tools such as Chatgpt for Chatgpt, Pika and Runway to create videos, as well as Elevenlabs in exchange for realistic voiceovers.

“Not only can these tools save time, but it also makes it possible for people who have never jumped in and created studio-level content with professional software,” Bhosale added. “We are less in position than having expensive gear or large production staff, but rather have an idea and know how to use the right tools to bring it to life.”

Not only a streaming platform

As AI is integrated into content creation, media and entertainment companies in the new era are growing, so they are no longer just content distributors, but a driving force for a new generation of creators.

Pocket Entertainment, which runs audio streaming platform Pocket FM, has teamed up with Elevenlabs to launch a feature called the AI Audio series that allows writers to turn their text stories into high-quality audio with custom sound and background music.

“At Pocket Toons, the company’s webcomics app, we launched AI-Power comics studio Blaze!, which helps writers turn scripts into professional-quality comics in minutes. It handles everything from illustrations to styles, allowing creators to focus on storytelling,” Prateek Dixit, co-creator and chief technology officer.

He added: “We are also building advanced AI tools to adapt stories from different languages and cultures to ensure that each version is authentic to the local audience.”

Munish Vaid, vice president of Primus Partners, a management consulting firm, said the surge in demand for special effects, roles and designs generated by AI can significantly reduce production costs while enhancing visual richness.

Industry experts say that using AI to create visual effects instead of heading to a location or hiring a foreign crew to shoot can cut production budgets by 30-40%.

But while AI tools are easy to access, studios still need enough trained designers and professionals to oversee and control usage. As a result, according to experts, the industry has seen an increase in demand for AI editors, prompting engineers, voice coaches and localization experts.

The Rise of Small Town Studios

Content studios are also appearing across three and three-story towns, where creators are studying local stories and leveraging AI to go national or globally. Actor Ajay Devgn and film producer Dil Raju recently announced AI Ventures, which could also offer jobs to Smalltown professionals in the film and entertainment industry.

Rahul Regulapati, founder of Galleri5, a platform for AI-driven marketing solutions, said that with the quality of AI, the quality of content in AI has significantly improved, which reduces barriers to the creator economy that earlier failed to access professional infrastructure, including studios.

“With AI, content creation becomes more accessible. Even individuals without formal training can provide affordable and efficient services.”

“New-age media and entertainment companies embrace AI at every stage of the content lifecycle, such as cutscene, creation, editing and marketing,” Mantha added. “The growing suite of AI tools allows production of content faster at lower costs and higher production quality.”
