Hyderabad will welcome the culture of more than 140 Miss World contestants who participated in the 72nd edition of the Global Beauty Pageant, which will officially begin in Telangana on May 7.
Tourism Minister Smita Sabharwal held a review meeting at the Chowmahalla Palace on Tuesday to bring together officials from Telangana tourism, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and police. The focus of the discussion is to complete the arrangements and ensure seamless coordination of the activity.
The celebration will officially begin on May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. On May 13, contestants will travel through the legacy of Charminar and Laad Bazar. This day will be spent with a cultural evening and dinner at the Chowmahalla Palace.
The palace’s venue will be transformed into a vibrant stage, with a dedicated area for dedicated shooting, live music, and a particularly well-curated 20-minute program that showcases the traditional art forms, music and dance of Telangana. Guests will also be sent to dinner, blending the rich flavors of Nizam cuisine with local Telangana cuisine, a press release said.
Smita Sabharwal stressed the importance of providing an unforgettable experience, not only for contestants, but also for the nearly 400 representatives, photographers and international media members who are expected to accompany them.
