Starting April 10, make online slot bookings for real estate registration in TG, amending the law to check for double registration
Hyderabad: In an effort to simplify property registration and curb fraudulent practices, the government will launch an online slot booking system from April 10 to allow real estate registration. Originally launched in 22 sub-registered offices, the program will be expanded statewide in a phased manner.
Tax Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said Tuesday the system is designed to provide people with efficient, transparent, fast and corruption-free services. He also revealed plans to introduce section 22-B through Article 22 to remove double or multiple registrations by forgery of documents.
“The sub-registration offices throughout Telangana are being modernized to make the service more friendly,” the minister said. “With the new slot booking system, the public will no longer have to wait for a few hours. Registration can only be completed in 10 to 15 minutes now.”
Among the 144 registered offices in Telangana, the new system will be implemented first in 22 key locations, including Azampura and Chikkadpally (Hyderabad), Sadashivpet (Sangareddy), Shamshabad, Shamoornagar, Saroornagar, Saroornagar, Champapet, Champapet (Ranga Reddy), Ramagundam (Ramagundam (Ramagundam) (peddapalli) (Khalam) (Khalam) (Khalam) (Khalam), Khalammandancanchi, khalammanchi, khashammanchi, khalammanchi, khalammanchi, (Registered Office), Mahbubnagar (Registered Office), Jagtial, Nirmal, Warangal Fort, Warangal Rural, Kothagudem, Armoor, Bhongir, Bhongir, Choutuppal and Nagarkurnool.
Each registered office will operate using 48 daily time periods, helping to prevent overcrowding. Citizens can visit the website www.registration.telangana.gov.in to select convenient registration date and time. To accommodate emergencies, five walk-in slots are available every day from 5pm to 6pm on a first visit basis. To further enhance the capacity of busy sub-registration offices, other manpower is being deployed. For example, at Quthbullapur, two additional sub-registers and staff were appointed, increasing the daily slots from 48 to 144.
The state government is also reorganizing the registered jurisdiction to meet slot machine booking requirements. As part of the restructuring, the offices of Champapet and Saroornagar sub-registry have been merged to balance workloads and improve service delivery. A new self-document preparation module is being added to the registration website. This optional feature will initially support sales deed files, allowing citizens to create files independently without relying on brokers or file authors.
Driven by a significant number, the government decided to introduce an Aadhaar-based electronic signature for all parties involved in the registration. This will greatly reduce delays due to the demand for body signatures by buyers, sellers and witnesses. The electronic signature facility is expected to operate at the end of April. Ponguleti said these reforms will not only improve services provided by services, but will also help curb property fraud, thereby enhancing public trust in the registration system.
