Indian Air Force demonstrates the possibility of air as fighter planes soar on construction Ganges expressway

The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a fly past and landing exercise on Friday at Ganga Expressway near the Piru village in Jalalabad subdivision in Shahjahanpur district. The exercise featured aircraft like the Rafale, MiG-29, Sukhoi-30 MKI, Jaguar, Mirage-2000, C-130J Super Hercules, AN-32 transport aircraft and MI-17 V5 helicopters performing both take-off and landing exercises to check daytime and nighttime operations.
“Sharp-edge aircraft such as Rafale, Sukhoi-30 Mki, Mig-29, Mirage-2000, Jaguar, Jaguar, AN-32, C-130J Super Hercules and MI-17 helicopters and MI-17 helicopters came to the sky with extraordinary displays of extraordinary combat and disaster relief capabilities. The UP government statement said.
Hundreds of spectators on site witnessed the roar of engines and high-precision aerial exercises, and live commentary provided insights into the technical capabilities and strategic roles of each aircraft.
The site is a 3.5-kilometer-long runway specially built on the Ganges Expressway, designed for emergency landing and takeoff of military aircraft and is considered an important strategic asset for national defense and disaster response operations.
The 594-km long Ganga Expressway that connects Meerut to Prayagraj is currently in the final stages of construction. Once in operation, it is expected to greatly enhance regional development and become an important part of national infrastructure. The government is paying attention to the expressway in November 2025.
