Unconfidence motion against GVMC mayor is pending

Visakhapatnam: The unconfidence motion against the mayor of the Great Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari and the leaders of the dominant NDA coalition were underway in a dramatic turn with YSRC Corporator Tippala Corporator Tippala Vamsi Vamsi Reddy.
Vamsi Reddy is the son of former Gajuwaka Mla Tippala Nagi Reddy. The company is reportedly considering joining the Telugu Party.
TDP State President Palla Srinivas met Vamsi Reddy on Friday morning accompanied by MLAS Velagapudi and Vamsi Krishna Yadav. After the meeting, Palla Srinivas announced that the NDA league was only two votes away from the majority of the votes needed to secure the mayor’s seat.
Srinivas continues to reiterate that certain GVMC companies are voluntarily joining the TDP, which is now the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh.
During this period, in the NDA league, internal discrimination occurred in the positions of mayor and deputy mayor. Jana Sena, a company in GVMC, said it was reluctant to engage in camp politics without clarifying that the party would receive the position of deputy mayor.
It is said that before the motion of distrust, TD and those who support the ruling party are in Malaysia. The representative of YSRC is in Sri Lanka.
It is worth noting that two members of the Communist Party are expected to abstain from the unconfidence vote.
The unconfidence-free motion against Mayor Venkata Kumari is scheduled for April 19.
