Support a wanted man to speak on his own: Indian Grand Slam Pakistan hosts fugitive Zakir Naik | Indian News

India raised concerns about Pakistan’s passion for the fugitive preacher Zakir Naik, with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesman Randhir Jaiswal highlighting the implications of people asylums in Pakistan, especially in Naik’s asylum Nawaz Sharjaz Sharsif and Punjab Nawaz Sharjaz Sharsif and Naawaz Sharjaz Sharnawaz and Punjab Maria Nawaz Chareman Nawaz.
During Friday’s weekly press conference, Jaswar was asked about India’s perception of the hotel expanded to Naik, despite India’s search for extradition facing justice.
“This is not the first time he has been treated in Pakistan,” Jasval said.
He added: “It shows the kind of his master and what it means to us and what it means in providing so much support to those who want here.”
Naik met with former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at his residence in Raiwind, according to a report by Express Tribune on March 18.
The scholar reportedly discussed various issues with the Pakistan Muslim Alliance-Nawaz (PML-N) leader at Sharif’s Family Real Estate conference. However, Express Tribune noted that no official statement about their conversation has been issued.
Meanwhile, former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez met with Naik last week. Hafeez shared images of their meeting on social media, which led to widespread opposition.
According to Express Tribune, Hafeez released a “Happy Meeting with Zakir Naik”, as well as their images, including one taken in the restaurant.
The post has sparked a strong reaction online, with many questioning his decision to meet Naik. According to Express, a social media user commented: “This is one of the reasons Indian cricket teams and Indian governments don’t want to come to Pakistan.”
Most of the criticism comes from Indian nationals. Currently, Indian authorities are being asked for suspected money laundering and incitement of extremism.
Earlier, on October 24, 2024, Rev. Azad Marshall, president of the Pakistan Church, wrote a letter to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. He expressed concern about Zakir Naik’s remarks about the Christian community and their recent visit to Pakistan as state guests.
