It took several minutes to prevail in parliament on Thursday after some remarks made by AIADMK and DMK members with the Hindu Minister of Religious and Charitable Donations (HR and CE).
Ultimately, AIADMK went on strike on this issue.
During Mr. Sekarbabu’s response to the needs of the HR and CE sector for grants in 2025-26, AIADMK Deputy Director RB Udhayakumar opposes some speeches. Spokesperson M. Appavu allowed him to speak.
However, the minister made some remarks, and strong opposition from Udhayakumar and his party members, which caused an equal response from the DMK members. Seeing some AIADMK members surpassed the opposition bench to the fiscal seat.
The Chairman directed opposition members to return to their seats. House leader Duraimurugan appeased the members. Mr Sekabab also clarified that his remarks were misunderstood.
Although the AIADMK members returned to their seats, Mr. Udawamal tried to speak after Mr. Sekabab finished his speech.
Mr Udhayakumar led his party legislators to strike since the president’s rejection.
A number of religious masters, including Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar, visited the conference and watched the lawsuit at the VIP Gallery due to the need for grants for the HR and CE departments on Thursday.
