Senior Congress Command praises Revanth Reddy for OBC bill

Hyderabad: Opposition leaders of Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for the revolutionary steps taken by the Congressional government in Telangana in fulfilling its promises and bookings for backward class communities.

“This is indeed a revolutionary step towards social justice, and the state’s wall has also been removed 50% of the reservation,” Rahul Gandhi said in an article on his X-handle.

“By using caste survey data to analyze the social and economic conditions of each community, policies that ensure the well-being of all people will be developed.”

Replying to the Chief Minister’s tweet, Gandhi said: “I have been saying that only through X-rays – i.e. caste census – backwards and deprived communities can get the right they deserve. Telangana has shown the way, and that’s what the whole country needs. This is what the whole country needs. The caste census will certainly happen in India and we can complete it.”

He noted that data on the population of British Columbia were obtained through scientific caste counts and were accepted. Gandhi said the General Assembly passed 42% of booking bills to ensure they are equally involved in education, employment and politics.

Priyanka Gandhi, the Secretary General of Congress and MP, posted a photo with Revanth Reddy and Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi during the campaign in Khammam, praising the Chief Minister’s initiative to increase the retention of BCS to 42%.

“Many congratulations to my Telangana siblings. Your Congressional Government fulfilled another promise to you. Our backward class people can now get 42% reservation. We made this promise to you in the parliamentary elections and now we have fulfilled it. This is a very important step in social justice that will empower you socially and economically in social justice.

We are always with you, for you,” Priyanka Gandhi said.

AICC Secretary General KC Venugopal praised Revanth Reddy, saying the historic decision of the Telangana government to allocate 42% of reservations across all areas is “the greatest evidence of our commitment to the mission of social justice”.

A scientific caste census, followed by proportional representation, is the need of the entire country. Rahul Gandhi has been at the forefront of this movement and Telangana is just the first step in the revolution,” Venugopal posted on his social media.
