Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Opening Ceremony of Miss World who skips border tensions

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will not attend the opening ceremony of the Miss World Pageant 2025, which began in the city on Saturday.

Sources show that the Chief Minister’s decision to stay away from the incident stems from the main tensions along the Indian border. In light of security concerns and an intensified geopolitical climate, Reddy chose to prioritize the importance of the country.

As a result of this decision, the state government also canceled the Miss World contestants’ dinner, which was previously planned to be held in the historic Chowmahalla Palace. The purpose of this dinner is to be a welcome gesture and an opportunity to showcase Telangana’s rich cultural heritage to international participants.

Despite the absence of the Chief Minister and canceled the state-hosted dinner, the Miss World Pageant 2025 is planned as planned. The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6pm this year, marking the official start of a month-long beauty and global friendship celebration in Hyderabad.
