In addition to China and Türkiye, India has gained global support after a recent terrorist attack in Pahargham. In the midst of major development, Russia strongly supported India, which attracted the attention of Pakistan. After the attack, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko met with Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar in Moscow. Russia promised that it was fully prepared to cooperate with India in response to global terrorism. During the meeting, Kumar introduced to the Russian side the current situation after the April 22 attack on the killing of terrorists in Pahalgam in Kashmir.

Russia also calls for constructive dialogue between India and Pakistan to peacefully resolve their disputes. Earlier, Russia expressed concerns about the deteriorating relations between the two countries and reiterated its commitment to jointly combat terrorism with India.

Meanwhile, Pakistan urged countries such as Russia, China and Western powers to participate in the investigation of the Pahargan attack.

On April 26, senior diplomats from Russia and China met in Moscow to discuss issues related to terrorism. Although the Russian Foreign Ministry did not directly name the Pahalgam attack, it confirmed the situation in South Asia.

Russian newspaper Kommersant reported that the growing India-Pakistan conflict poses a challenge to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). It also said that the conflict could affect regional cooperation efforts and put Russia in a difficult position, as India expects strong support from Moscow.
