TG EAPCET sees record of 305,000

Hyderabad: A record 3,05,774 candidates have signed a public entrance to the Telangana Project, Agriculture and Pharmacy (TG EAPCET) between April 29 and May 4. 253 of the candidates will be tested in both streams.

The Agriculture and Pharmacy (A&P) Stream Examination will be held April 29 and 30, and Engineering will be conducted from May 2 to 4. In all days, the exam will be held from 9 noon to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Hall tickets are available for download from A&P Streaming and Engineering on April 19, April 22.

The examination is conducted by JNTUH on behalf of the Telangana Council on Higher Education (TGCHE), which is for admission to undergraduate majors. The exam will be held in 16 test areas and 236 centers. The engineering stream attracted 2,19,420 candidates, and the A&P stream 86,101.

Hyderabad has attracted more than 140,000 applicants in four sub-regions, followed by Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad. About 280,000 candidates come from the local Telangana (OU) area. The remaining 25,000 fall into the unreserved category.

Female candidates (1,58,885) than males will be given the exam. It is worth noting that government universities account for the majority of students. About 31,650 candidates come from ethnic minority communities. Under special retention categories such as NCC, Sports, Cap and Anglo-Indian, nearly 12,500 applicants applied, and 775 students with disabilities were also registered. The economically weaker segment (EWS) constitutes more than 31,000 candidates.
