TGMC hits Sangareddy’s unlimited doctor

Hyderabad: Several complaints surfaced this week about unrestricted individuals engaged in modern medicine and endangering public health, and more than 20 clinics and hospitals in the Sangareddy area were examined this week. Under the guidance of its chairman Dr. Mahesh Kumar, the Telangana State Medical Council (TGMC) led a special operation to combat illegal practices.

The inspection was conducted in areas such as Old Bus Stand, Malkapoor, Isnapur, Sadasivipet, Conkor, Databad, Nalsapur and Zahrebad, where five inspection teams checked nearly 25 private clinics and hospitals. In several institutions, individuals who hold degrees such as BAMS, BHM and D. Pharm (not authorized by law to practice modern medicine) were found to treat patients, prescribe painkillers and manage steroids.

Officials pointed out that this approach not only violates legal norms, but also poses a serious risk to public health. Some hospitals were also found to operate without a valid permit.

TGMC Vice Chairman Dr. G. Srinivas, Dr. Kiran Kumar, Chairman of the Ethics Committee, and members Dr. Anand, Dr. Vishnu, Dr. Vishnu, Dr. Sunny Davis, Dr. Rajeev, Dr. Harika, Dr. Harika and Dr. Sireesh participated in the examination. Members of the Indian Medical Association joined them, including Dr. Chakrapani and Dr. Harikumar Goud. The Medical Commission describes these violations as serious offences under the National Medical Commission Act Articles 34 and 54 (NMC) Act.

The detailed report will be submitted to regional collectors and regional medical and health officials, officials said. The Medical Committee also recommends hospitals operating without proper registration and has begun the process of flying to unauthorized practitioners. Further legal steps will be taken in accordance with established procedures.
