There was a time when Shekhar Suman was filming for Manav Hatya, the low-budget film opposite Madhuri Dixit, often riding her bike to pick up her shoot and put down her home. Shekhar Suman himself revealed in an interview: “Utsav was postponed, between here and Anubhav, one day, I received a call and a director wanted to sign me a movie called Manav Hatya in which I played the role of a journalist. The director said that it was very little money. However, he gave me 5,000 rupees. However, I gave me 100 rupees. 5,000, I was disappointed, and he didn't say anything big heroine either.
Shekhar Suman's career in movies may be full of ups and downs, but his TV career is books. After 1989, when his Bollywood journey went down with a series of failed films, Shekhar Suman transitioned to TV, where he discovered a variety of performances and his popular talk show, the new success of Movers and Shakers.
Despite all the challenges, Shekhar Suman remains an active part of the film industry and enjoys success and respect in all walks of life. The actor has been married to Alka Suman since May 1983. An oldest son, Ayush, died of an 11-year-old heart attack on April 3, 1995.
