Rajasthan court sentenced woman sentenced to sexually assault teen for 20 years

Kota: A POCSO court in Bundy sentenced a woman to 20 years in October 2023 to kidnap and sexually assault a 17-year-old boy, officials said. They said the court of Justice Salim Badra also fined the offender Rs 45,000.

Prosecutor Bundi Mukesh Joshi said on Sunday that police filed a lawsuit against Lalibai Mogiya (30) on November 7, 2023, seeking his abduction and sexual assault on a teenager, according to the order of Bundi’s Juvenile Justice Court.

The victim’s mother claimed that Mogiya seduced her then-16-year-old son and then took him to Jaipur where they lived in a hotel room. Josh said she was drunk and sexually assaulted him for six to seven days.

According to the mother’s complaint, cases of the Indian Penal Code (Kidnapping), Juvenile Justice (Juvenile Justice and Protection of Children Act) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Crime Act were registered. Josh added that Mogia was arrested after the initial investigation and later released on bail.

The prosecutor said that after the hearing, the POCSO court found Mogiya guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison with a fine of Rs 45,000.
