In a tragic incident, an Indian student, the daughter of Devinder Singh, the leader of the AAM AADMI party in Punjab, was found dead in a mysterious situation in Canada after disappearing four days ago. The high commissioner of India in Ottawa confirmed the development, saying it had been linked to the Ottawa authorities.
She is reportedly a native of Dera Bassi of Punjab and is pursuing diploma courses in Canada. “We are deeply saddened by the death of Ms. Wosika, a student from Ottawa India, and we are very sad. This matter has been brought to the authorities concerned and investigated at the local police station. We are in close contact with bereavement relatives and local community associations to provide all possible assistance.”
Earlier, the High Commission sought public assistance after its disappearance to obtain any information about Vanshika. It said: “Ottawa HCI is in touch with local partner India-Canadian Community Association and is concerned about the authorities’ alarm about missing persons for students from Ottawa India.”

According to media reports, Van Sika’s body was found on the beach. The cause of death is not yet known and an investigation is underway.
