Minister of Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian will present the OV Vijayan Memorial Literature Award on Sunday at OV Vijayan Memorial in Thasrak, near this nearby. The minister will also unveil the renovated roads of the OV Vijayan Memorial. The road was rebuilt by spending Rs 9.2 lakh under the Ministry of Fisheries Inland Fisheries Development Program.

Awards for the novel and short story collection will include plaques, citations and a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The young writer’s unpublished story award will receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000 with a plaque and citation.
