The Science Commission has selected over 1,000 projects for research grants

The Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Council has selected 1,014 research grant projects.

The selected programs are conducted by undergraduates in professional courses and graduate students in the state’s Arts and Sciences program.

These projects are selected by a committee of experts, composed of distinguished professors, scientists and directors from universities and central institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, the Central Institute of Leather and the National Institute of Marine Technology.

Upon completion of the project, the Council will organize a review meeting, during which experts will identify potential and feasible projects. The developed technical patents will then be submitted through the Council’s Patent Information Center.

The Council will connect academic institutions with the industry so that the former understands the needs of the latter. Member Secretary S. Vincent said that the student’s findings will be recorded as scientific research papers and were sorted out with the ISBN number.
