PM Modi launches project worth Rs 3,880 CR during Varanasi visit on April 11

He said the Prime Minister will also open a transit dormitory in police routes and police barracks in Ramnagar and four rural roads.
Modi focuses on urban development and will open projects on Shastri Ghat and Samne Ghat, as well as various beautification projects conducted by the railway and Varanasi Development Authority (VDA).
Among the projects that laid the foundation stone, Rs 25 is worth Rs 22.5 crore, with the focus on strengthening the city’s power infrastructure. This includes the construction of 15 new substations, the installation of new transformers and the laying of new power lines of 1,500 kilometers.
A new 220 kV substation will also appear near Chaukaghat, aiming to provide 24-hour uninterrupted power supply.
Sharma said infrastructure projects related to the airport are also on the agenda, including laying tunnels for expansion. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation for three new overpasses as well as various road expansion plans and school renovation work as well as two stadiums at Shibu and UP University. Modi will also hold a public meeting in Mehndiganj in Rohaniya.
Given the heat and traffic of the summer, Modi’s events will be held on the ring road outside the city limits to ensure easy access to rural populations. He said the event will be held in the morning and attendees are allowed to return home by the afternoon.
Police Commissioner Mohit Agrawal and ADG Security Raghuveer Lal learned during a pre-trial process at Cantt camp that six SPs, another eight SPS, 33 COS and approximately 4,000 personnel will be deployed for the Prime Minister’s security.
After proper inspection and bending, including on the VIP route, the event venue will be strictly entered. A temporary parking area will be established near the event site.
Surveillance via CCTV and drone cameras will ensure rooftop deployment along VIP routes and surrounding areas.
Police officers have been instructed to avoid using their cell phones at duty points and report completely uniformly as their ID card and duty card. Strict compliance with PM’s safety protocols has been required and ropes will be used to control the crowd.
Officials said police were also instructed to behave politely with attendees.
BJP Mayor Pradeep Agrahari said the prime minister would stay in Varanasi for about two and a half hours.
He said: “Party workers will brag in many places, drums and showers to welcome the Prime Minister. Hosts and posters were posted in the city to welcome him.”
