Bhimaraya Metri’s director of the Indian School of Management takes a deep dive into India’s prospects in the world economy.
“The world is focusing on India, which is growing at 7.1% annually at 7.1%. With approximately 17 billion UPI payments per month, the country is at its highest in digital transactions. It has a large demographic dividend. India will become Viksit Bharat in 2047, continue to lead the world by 2047, and announces the next 25-30 years of leadership position at home. Viksit Bharat’s digital transformation was organized on Friday at the Central University of Karnataka.
The event was organized jointly by the Central University Business School and the Southern Regional Centre of the Indian Social Research Council.
Later in the plenary session, Mr. Metri continued to analyze the factors that would help the country reach the highest position in the world with a solid foundation of young people.
“India is a young country with an average age of 28, while the average age of the United States is 28, 40 in the United States and 37 in European countries. The United States is moving from an extraordinary country to an average country.
Mr Metri said Japan occupied electronics and other consumer goods between 1965 and 1980, followed by South Korea and Singapore, which dominated the global market between 1980 and 2000.
“In 2000, China became the youngest country and occupied the global market. It began with poor quality and gradually dominated by improved commodities. It created a situation where no Chinese commodities could be maintained. The world’s top companies established their manufacturing units in Shanghai, making it globally global. There is no other way to become an older country in terms of average population age.
Battu Satyanarayana, Vice President of Central University, B. Sudhakar Reddy, Honorary Director of ICSSR, Panduranga V., Dean of the Business School of Central University, Anjanadevi NT, Professor of Karnataka University, Organized Secretary of the event, Devarajappa SSS, and other faculty members participated in the event.
